Online gaming is where people play video games or some type of role-playing game.
In the 1950s to the 1960s, gaming started as a test for scientists and engineers as they explore computing. This wasn't big thing for scientists and engineers—it's a test.
In the '70s and '80s, video games are now becoming a business. Gaming went from labs to a lot of public spaces and homes. There were A LOT of classic games such as Pong, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and may more!
The '90s got a NEW update: 3D gaming. YES! That's right—3D gaming! Not only that, there was a console battle between Sega, Nintendo and Sony. Games such as Super Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time were in 3D.
By the 2000s, you can play video games online, meaning that you can play with others worldwide. More people were gaming, including families, older adults and newbies.
The 2010s had something even better: mobile gaming! You don't need a console to play video games; you just need to download games on your phone. But WAIT—there's something even better! Platforms such as Twitch and YouTube allowed you watch people play video games which became popular as gaming itself.
